A New Relationship With Food: Nutritional Value and Happiness
Welcome back and I have a post today about one of my new and better habits for a better life, I have decided to teach myself how to view food for its nutritional value and to choose food and menus that give me good nutrition, no chemicals, no hormones or fertilizers in my body, fresh organic food and to eat every three hours but small portion of no denature foods, more organic vegetables and fruits.
Today we are covering Alkaline Cereals, organic and gluten free.
Organic Oats
It’s known as “the Queen of cereals” thanks to the high content in proteins, carbohydrates, phosphorus, trace elements, iron, nutrients, vitamins and minerals.
Actions: Strengthens the Spleen, the organ that produces blood in the body, the nervous system and the reproductive organs. It is recommended to treat postpartum urinary and bowel obstruction and to treat Hepatitis. It is purifying, helps control blood sugar levels in the blood and improves digestion.
Organic Barley
Barley also has B vitamins, folic acid, choline and vitamin K. It is a good source of potassium, magnesium, iron, sulfur, copper, zinc, manganese, chromium, selenium, iodine and phosphorus.
Actions: It nourishes, relaxes and refreshes the liver and gallbladder. Cooling and bland. Promotes diuresis, clears heat (inflammation in the body), detoxifies, it is great to treat indigestion, diarrhea, tumors and it is the cereal with biggest amount of fiber (17%.)
Organic Millet
Considered a sacred and powerful therapeutic food for Traditional Chinese Medicine, millet is the only alkalizing cereal, besides being a great remineralizer. Clears heat and it is cooling. It’s gluten free. It is a natural source of phosphorus. Also contains fatty acids, iron, zinc, iodine and vitamin E.
Actions: Relieves diarrhea, promotes urination, anti-toxin, stops vomiting and acts as astringent to the stomach and intestines.
Organic Quinoa
Quinoa’s properties are mainly nutritional. It’s gluten free. Almost 20% of its dry weight corresponds to vegetable proteins of very good quality for the facility to be assimilated by the body. Warm and Sweet energy. Has twice the proteins than rice or barley. Good source of iron, manganese and magnesium. It has anti-inflammatory, anti viral, anti-cancer and anti-depressive effects.
Folk Remedy: Quinoa calms the spirit and strengthen the body.
Actions: Strengthens the entire body, tonifies the flow of Qi (life force energy), it is used to treat weakness, fatigue, cold hands and feet.
Learn to see food as a source of nutrition for the body, a source of energy and to eat certain foods depending on your constitutional archetype which is a reflection of energy balance in your body. All dis-ease is a manifestation of disharmony in the body and it is caused by the energy that we live in; our thoughts, self talk, emotions, the food that we use to nourish our body, the way that we cook and preserve the food that we eat and the environment we live in which it is our extended body; color, air, relationships, living beings around us and the flow of energy in our lives.
Love your body. Love your-self and eat healthy. :)

Anger is an emotion, energy in motion. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the emotion of anger is store by the Liver. Here is a yoga sequence and meditation that will help us focus thought and mindfully shift our focus away from anger. To make peace, mentally and in our hearts, with people, circumstances or events in our lives that could have evoke negative emotion. Let go of anger. Cleansing Our Auric Energy Field
Replies To Postcards From Tourist and Travelers
Question: Katherine, could you explain an easy way to clean or detox our auric field?
The auric field is a projection of self, an inside out reflection of our WHOLE BLUEPRINT OF OUR ETHEREAL (COSMIC CONSCIOUSNESS) BODY. Our aura is not a coat or detached "thing" that we wear "outside" of us existing in isolation. At the contrary, our aura is a reflection or "radiance from with-IN" the energy that we craft and choose to live IN.
The auric field is a projection of self, therefore, something that exist from inside out, our whole body energy circuitry. The first way to raise the natural vibration of our energy field is by shifting and evolving our thoughts and emotions (energy in motion) to loving and self-loving intentions.
What do I mean by vibrational auric field? The vibration, a pulsating energy, (the number of oscillations per second), is measured in Hertz. The wave hertz transfers energy through where it passes, or blends with. Our thoughts are waves of energy and they do affect energy by blending with it. Essentially, everything that exist is of a vibrational nature (life pulsating energy.) Now you know why the "atmosphere" in a room will light up when a confident and positive person walks into a room. Higher vibrations have uplifting impact, especially on lower vibrations.
1. The first recommendation is to realize that we can raise the vibration of our auric field by shifting our focus toward higher realms of energy, meaning, work on our self-talk, appreciation of self and others. THE FORMED OPINION THAT WE HAVE OF SELF is manifested on our auric field or thought forms. Detox and de-clutter the mind of lower vibrations and open your heart to receive love. Think thoughts about yourself that give you value. :)
2. Cosmic waterfall cleanse: If you are more drawn to the water element, you might like to imagine powerfully cleansing water flowing through your energy field cascading down through your crown. Now, this isn't a cleansing because "you are not good", this is resource to complement the material covered on point 1, above.
3. Smudging with sage, like a sage smudge stick or burning any kind of incense. You can ask someone to help by walking around you and smudging through your entire aura. Additionally, the auric field is our first energetic contact with other people or the environment, our extended body. Our energy fields interact with those of other living beings and picks up on surrounding vibrations. Any imbalances within the "whole body of energy"; emotions, mind/thoughts, heart, spirit, life force or chi, willpower, conceptual self and so on... will show up in the auric field.
4. BioSpiritual Energy of Essential Oils: Here are some notes on the subject and I hope to elaborate more of this in the near future... :)
There is a subtle bio-energy that flows through all organic life. It is know as Qi "Chi" or Life Force. This energy is expressed as an electromagnetic vibrational frequency – and pure essential oils register the most higher frequencies of any measured natural substance.
Most living beings (including Spiritual Human Beings) use enzymes to break down molecular components during their life processes. And each of these enzymes has a unique crystalline form with a specific vibratory frequency.
Showering (waterfall cascade) is a naturally aura cleansing, even more so by adding Epsom salt and using soaps withe essential oils. Therapeutic grade essential oils produce coherent frequencies that bring health and healing to our bodies. Synthetic oils do not! Here are the average frequencies of some of the therapeutic grade essential oils that have been measured:
Rose: 320 MHz, (among the Romans there was a tradition of using Rosa to treat 32 health conditions), Lavender: 118 MHz. NOTE: Human cells can start to change (mutate) when their frequency drops below 62MHz. A positive state of mind could influence our auric field 10 MHz+.
Special note:
I want to thank everyone for all your love and help during these past four months. I am doing great and it is so wonder-full to be back, doing what I love.
May divine love and light be with us all-ways.
I love you, I do.

The JOY List
| Dear friends:What a beautiful day today is and how grateful we are for all it brings, which we co-create. Without it we couldn't be who we are and be evolving so much. A day to celebrate and to focus on our whole-being; all levels of my spiritual human experience. It is amazing how the sun has a way to be everywhere, everyday and for everyone... even in the basement of the house, no place too out of reach for the sun. I think that I do too have an opportunity to create something of value that touches, gently, my life and the lives of others in a meaningful way. I can choose to be light. Each day the sun shows up with the same smiling kind of energy... just to be and by being it gives, shares, illuminates, inspires and multiples. Can we do the same? After all, we are energy. The most precious kind of energy that the sun brings into our lives is the sharing of its essence. Yes, I am sure that it is in our minds and hearts the desire to be JOY and good energy for ourselves and for others. We may ask ourselves, what can I do today to be the JOY that touches the lives of others? However.... to give JOY, to radiate outward we need to become JOY first, radiate inward. When we focus on love and are IN love... we can not help but radiate and illuminate it everywhere and for everyone. |
How are you inviting JOY and LOVE in your world?
We are not on our way to holiness... we are already holy in so many ways, the point is "What are we doing with our holiness now?" What do I want the universe to help me become today? because, I do co-create myself. Focus on a powerful and beautiful memory and allow it to fill you up. Are you in charge of how you feel? Choose to feel JOY.
In our life as spiritual humans evolving, there is one important thing that we need to do – to fall in love.
This is the meaning of life, to nurture a relationship with you, then you can work on your own happiness. This is when life and all our projects, experiences and ideas make sense. Love is life. Love what you do. All that you are doing right now; shaping your body, developing new ideas or materializing your dreams, conversations, meetings, investing time on expressive arts, put love in it and you IN love with it. Move to an imaginary world of love. When we are IN love, you see the world differently and everyone in it too. |
| The JOY LIST is about your process of becoming JOY. When we shift our focus, when we become JOY, the world around us changes too. The JOY LIST is about finding ways that nurtures our essence, our whole-being, a being of light = love. My Spiritual Breakfast: Being IN love can be achieved by deliberately practicing gratefulness, appreciation and JOY. I have created and imaginary list of moments of JOY that I choose to experience during the day. I dream myself into being. At the end of the day, before I go to bed, I make time to remember, feel and examine what I have put in it and expand it, consciously. My night dreams are rehearsals of my JOY list. Traffic Control: During the day I set up a soft alarm clock every two hours and I invest this time to stop all that I am doing and reflect or meditate for a couple of minutes about my thoughts. I made myself aware of the thoughts that I am thinking and how they are influencing my life experience. As part of my whole balance and health I choose to create a daily space to re-focus and to honor JOY (with me in it.) Accentuate the positive and uplifting aspects of our precious life. Truth be told, I am inspiring myself to stay focused, as much as possible, in the practice of JOY and LOVE in my life. I am deliberately re-training myself and learning how to choose: - better feelings thoughts, better emotions, better relationships, better ways, better foods, more full-filling and mindful conversations, activities, etc. I am co-creating better habits in my life. I am deliberately multiplying moments of JOY. Often I find myself sitting at my desk, looking out the window, watching the birds at the backyard and feeling blessed with nature and in nature. It’s those little things that have come to mean so much to me. Life is testier... And the sun, I love the sun as much as the moon. It has a way of casting a glow that connects with my whole being... at a cell level, that makes all the difference in a day. There is no source of darkness and source of light, darkness is the absence of light. Choose to be light, choose to be JOY. Choose to be LOVE. Love and light! Katherine |

Weekly Meal Plans
Hello everyone :)
To invest some quality time to plan your weekly meals can have a big impact on your health — time management an on your budget — just by eating at home more often you can take care of quality, quantity and feel relaxed because you have a planned already. With menu planning you know what your meals will look like and what you need to buy. That makes grocery shopping more efficient.
Like any new habit, menu planning gets easier with practice.
Before you sit down to plan and choose your menus, these are some tips to help you keep important things in mind.
- Mid-Night to Mid-Day. The body is naturally is detoxifying, eliminating toxins.
- Look for sales. What's on sale this week.
- Think seasonal. What fresh produce is available this time of year? Is it salad season or soup weather?
- Mid-Day to Mid-Night. The body is naturally absorbing nutrients.
- Picture the plate. As you plan each meal, remember that it is important to give good nutrition to the body every 3 to 3.5 hours and small portions. Visualize your plate, and the quantities that you need to cook for yourself and for others.
- Recycle your menus. Don't throw away your menu plan at the end of the week. Instead, hold on to it and reuse it later.
- A very important aspect of your meal plans is to plan your daily hydration. Coconut water, or home-made fruit based puree with spring water, organic juices if you have your juicer or vitamix, or other drinks that you use to substitute for a meal or as a AM or PM snack.
- Look for easy-to-prepare vegan and healthier fresh menu choices.
- Control the quality of ingredients and nutritional value of your meals. You will have a plan so you will be eating more fresh, organic, vegan, gluten-free, non-dairy and less animal to no animal protein a week.
- By planning ahead and have a list of menu choices ready when going to the grocery store or the farmer's market you have more time to read labels, ingredients and to look for good quality food items to prepare your meals. (Also, you have time to plan ahead if you or someone else at home is observing any dietary restrictions.)
- Have your AM morning green juice with your (wheat grass, spirulina, green powder of veggies, aloe vera juice and chlorophyll -- all alkalinizers.), along with your supplements. You can add 1 8oz of rice, almond or coconut milk to the mix and then have your morning breakfast.
Here is a sample of a weekly menu planner. You can click here to download a pdf copy of this document.
As all better habits of behaviors and of thoughts, it takes a bit of time to feel comfortable about it, but remember, that continuity is of value.

Healing and Uplifting Full Moon Ceremony and Summer Solstice Ritual For Self-Love
This week brings the June Solstice, when, depending on where you call home, the days begin to get shorter or longer. You may be looking forward to bright days or dreading the long nights!
There is also a Full Moon, an astrological 'blue' moon, even if the first was in May. Add in the Saturn/Neptune connection and we have a week when achievements that transcend the norm are a real possibility.
The Moon in Chinese Astrology represents the element of Water, the element of emotions, constitution, creativity, intuition and kindness and emotions are energy-in-motion. These energies could be, depending if they are negative resonance, blocking the flow of energy in your mental body, physical body, spiritual body, creative body, love body, will power and self-creation body or in the environment around you which it is your extended body.
Before coming to the Full Moon Ritual and Prayer Circle this week you could prepare yourself:
- Write down everything that you are ready to release, to let go of, to heal (thoughts, emotions, things and habits.) Take your time to reflect on those things and make a list of those things that you can let go of now, today, and those that you can work on as the week goes by to let go of, to evolve and improve upon.
- Take a shower, not a bath, to release and cleanse your energetic magnetic field (aura) allowing the water element to rinse off energies that are not in harmony with the energies of your heart. Visualize the water taking those things away from you and your life. The power of visualization is also a way to create, to craft energy, to mold energy into being. Ground your visualization in love. Remember that a shower rinses off energy and a bath help you to create and to keep energy. :)
- Use a rose soap, the rose oils have the higher frequency to uplift and bring lower energies into balance. The rose soap for your shower, made with organic rose oil, is going to help raising your vibrational resonance.
- Create the intention of love in your life. Live IN love. Love always calls us forward. Love inspires. Invite love in to your life. Blend with love. Give love, share and cultivate love.
- Tonight, while facing the energy of the moon light, focus on your thoughts and heartfelt intentions. Be thankful for the lessons and points of clarity that past experiences have brought about, then release and let go of those energies, memories, people and experiences that don't serve you well any more. Let them go in peace.
- Note: Never fight for peace. To fight you must be in alignment with negative energies and destructive or violent thinking and this grounds your intentions in the opposite energy of what you wish to create, which it is PEACE. Peace is about peace and love, about joy, creativity and health.
Make peace in your mind and heart with everything and everyone. Make sure that you take your time to visualize you smiling at those negative energies and feeling good and free as you let go. Then bless them with energy coming from your third eye, with mindful pink/pearl light.
You can also focus on white and pink light with your mind to surround yourself, your home, your office, work space, creative area at home, your spending cash account and your kitchen, food supplies and any other aspect or place in your life that requires a shift of energy toward better and more positive and loving ways.
You could also surround with pink/pearl white energy to those who we may not obviously know are struggling, carrying secret and quiet pain in their lives and need loving energy. May light and love be also with them. :)
Close your eyes and imagine yourself drawing out energy from the MOON and gathering this energy of new beginnings and renewal, of light and of love. Feel good, feel and focus on feeling good with yourself and everything - everyone. A new cycle has begin and a new divine journey has began, IN love. :) Face the SUN
and give thanks in your heart to the light in our lives, to a light that is inclusive and blesses everyone. Give thanks to the celestial beings that are present in our lives.
Bring a white, pink or gold candle to your personal ceremony or with a gathering among friends or family members.
Bring sweats, vegan organic sweats that are not toxic or harmful for your body. May this be another opportunity to practice self love and self-healing.
Live and speak in a more universal, inclusive way to embrace everyone. God is inclusive. :) Love is inclusive :)
Be GRATEFUL for diversity and for everyone.
Peace be with you,
Katherine :)

Invocation: Namaste
Replies To Postcards From Tourist and Travelers
Question: Katherine, what's the real meaning of Namaste?
| First, remember that we use words to
communicate meaning and even better, to communicate intention.
Also, remember that it is a bit difficult to use
words to explain Spirit. Why? Spirit is non-physical and
when we attempt to explain Spirit with words it may evoke
folklore. :) I prefer to state that, Spirit is a matter of the heart. The gesture Namaste represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us. The intention implies a desire to stay connected living "Spirit-IN-Love." The gesture is an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another, blended. "Nama" means bow as profound admiration and respect, "as" means I, and "te" means you. Therefore, Namaste literally means "bow me you" or "I bow to you." My own definition, the way I FEEL IT IN MY HEART, the meaning of Namaste is "the glue of life that happily weaves and inspires-to-evolve love while expanding it - individually and collectively - including ALL living beings." A way to intentionally perform Namaste: We place the hands together at the heart charka, close the eyes, and bow the head. It can also be done by placing the hands together in front of the third eye, bowing the head, and then bringing the hands down to the heart. This is an especial deep form of acceptance and acknowledgement of divinity in one another. Although in the West the word "Namaste" is usually spoken in conjunction with the gesture, in India, it is understood that the gesture itself signifies Namaste, and therefore, it is unnecessary to say the word while bowing. INTENTION is the most important thing. Intention is the Divine Essence that gives birth and ground our heart-impulses and actions. What is the intention of your energy?
|
Have a Happy Namaste! |
Remember to meditate, reflect or journal about your life. Listen to your heart and allow your heart to speak its truth. May you have a divine and happy journey. :)
Love and light!

Performing Actions-IN-Love to achieve Peace
Meditation:
- The respect for the rights of others which it is PEACE, and to live the virtue as a way to achieve peace which is by preforming ACTIONS IN LOVE.
- We can not fight to achieve PEACE. How can we talk about PEACE using words or examples of hatred, violence, negative words and or by fighting? The way to peace is by performing sincere ACTIONS IN LOVE. Trust is something we earn with our sincere ACTIONS IN LOVE.
May this proclamation be also an inspiration, a light that guide our hearts and minds to live IN Peace and in Love. Everyone is invited :)

Chucks and "Puntos Magicos"
At the moment that I began to work on this sketch, the idea was already outside of me. The same happens with the thoughts that we think and the dreams that we have. This sketch shows "puntos" inside a circle and some other puntos outside of the circle. But these are not just "puntos" they are "puntos magicos."
Let's suppose that one of the "puntos" is a flower that I am imagining or thinking about, and that I drew a "punto" inside the circle. I am the circle and the flower is inside of me, but when I draw or paint the flower now the flower is outside of me, the "punto" is outside of me and it exist. We carry lots of "puntos" inside us and each "punto" has so much potential. Each person is like this circle, as large as the cosmos, filled with "puntos magicos" or things that we imagine. We are inside the cosmos as a "punto magico", but, who imagined me? I did. I imagined myself.
Then, who am I? I am a creator of worlds, the one that imagines and dreams "puntos magicos", draws and paints them. If we could only be certain of this from the heart. But what motivates our imagination to dream dreams? I call them heart impulses and they are only felt by our heart when they are ready to show up. We must believe in our heart impulses.
How do we get the "puntos" inside of us, out? This is a matter of the heart... a miracle. We can do miracles. We must believe in ourselves to give birth to all those "puntos magicos" that are inside of our circle, inside of us, very unique to the essence of what each whole person is about. Our "puntos magicos" are a mirror of our essence. Our life is a mirror of ourselves.
Carry your chucks with you and connect your heart to your imagination. Listen to the formless universe that talks to you. Listen to your heart impulses. Pause and listen to the wind. You are a miracle and you can make miracles. :)
I love you, I do!

Self-Healing Cultivation With The Moon - Lungs (Metal Element)
Dearest friends,
Here is a simple self-healing cultivation, (gathering and trans-forming) good energy practice or spiritual exercise. Bring into your awareness the presence of nature, our extended body. Tune-in to the energy of love, well-being, bliss or flow to live in freedom and joy.
Taoist QiGong Self-Healing Cultivation: Transforming "blocked" emotional energy into nourishment-at-ease of the five organs; elements of nature present in our physical composition; Heart (Fire), Spleen (Earth), Lungs (Metal), Kidneys (Water) and Liver (Wood), as described in Chinese Energy Medicine. We are physical extensions of the environment we live in.
In this specific cultivation, (exercise practice), we transform the stuck energy of grief, located in the lung organ-system, into the lung's virtue, (the positive essence of the lung in Chinese Energy Medicine is courage.)
Time Required: 10-15 minutes, or longer if you wish
Modulation: Sound, Light, Metal Element
Remember that in Taoist Qigong practice emotions can be understood as forms of blocked energy. We use the healing sounds, the power of focusing the mind with an "INTENTION" to shift energy and the power of visualization to direct and craft energy, AND to break up a
particular emotion/shape, so that the energy bound in that shape can
once again flow freely.
Write to me if you wish to share your experience with this self-healing cultivation or if you have further questions. I am here to help you in any way I can. :)
Love and light!

- Find a quiet place to practice. I do recommend you create your own PEACE CORNER(1) for your daily cultivations. Sit upright on the front edge of a straight-backed chair, facing South since this is a cultivation for enrichment, with your feet flat on the floor, directly beneath your knees. It's also fine to sit in a cross-legged position on a cushion of the floor, if this is comfortable for you.
- Calm your mind and your body. Focus on the present moment at peace. Take a couple of deep, slow breaths. As you exhale, smile gently, which will help to release any unnecessary tension in your face, jaw, neck or shoulders. Feel your energy settling into your lower abdomen - the lower dantien.
- Bring your focus - your conscious attention - to your lungs: a huge organ, comprised of five lobes, which occupies the majority your mid- to upper chest (everywhere except for where your heart is). Smile gently to your lungs, as you shift your focus toward the co-creation of good healing energy.
- Take a deep, smooth, soft inhalation, and as you exhale, make the healing sound ssssss - like the sound of a snake hissing. Direct, with your visualization, the vibration of this sound into your lungs, and feel that it is helping the "stuck" emotional energy of grief (your inner vision can see it as a gray cloud), to become "unstuck," i.e. to flow again as simply energy, without a specific name or shape.
- Make the ssssss sound, with your focus in your lungs, at least three times - though it's fine to repeat as many times as you'd like. This is the first part of the self-healing practice: using sound to release the energy of grief.
- In the second part of the practice, we're going to use the vibration of light to nourish the lung's virtue of courage. Here's how: First, focus your attention and exhale completely, and with your inhalation, imagine that you're drawing into your lungs a beautiful shimmering white light - the color of a full moon.
- "Breathe" this white healing light in through your nostrils, and mentally direct it to your lungs. Alternatively, you can "breathe" this healing light in through every cell of your skin, directing it to your lungs.Visualization and concentration are important components of this self-healing cultivation.
- Feel your lungs opening to receive the gift of this beautiful healing light - as though they were drinking a wonderful nectar, a powerful elixir. The energy of the moon is refreshing, cooling, reinvigorating and gives you strength. See your lungs beginning to pulse and glow - to vibrate with this beautiful white energy, fill them up as if they were actually made of white light.
- With each inhalation, draw into your lungs this beautiful moon-white light. With each exhalation, simply notice the lung's "virtue" of courage. This is a quality that already exists within you. We're simply using a particular frequency of light to nourish it, to invite it to reveal its full splendor to us.
- Draw the healing light into your lungs for five or six breaths, at least - though you can continue for as long as you like.
- To end the practice, smile once again down to your lungs, and notice how you feel.
- Smile to the moon and do remember to practice this cultivation with the Full Moon, however, remember that the white lady, the Moon is always there. I had a student once that told me that she was not able to practice this exercise because there was no moon during the new moon cycle. Oh! The moon is gone, the moon is gone I said to her. :) Of course the moon is there and it is always there even when we don't "see it" with our physical eyes.
Write to me if you wish to share your experience with this self-healing cultivation or if you have further questions. I am here to help you in any way I can. :)
Love and light!

Living Organic Plant-Based Foods
Living organic plant-based foods has bio-electricity, a high vibrational energy which it is literally the life force of greater connectivity in our whole body. These powerful nutrients can also prevent DNA deterioration, oxidative stress, help protect us from the ongoing effects of pre-mature aging and cellular breakdown. Recent research shows that only living foods and juices can restore the electrical charge between the capillaries and the cell walls which boosts the immune system.
It is a joy to help you craft your better life into being.

Are My Choices Of Thoughts And Beliefs Helping Me?
The thoughts that we choose to think have a lot to do with our well-being, prosperity and health, at a cell level.
In other words, the thoughts that we choose to think are precursors to our health.
Our thoughts are an important component of our emotional, physical, mental and spiritual health and well-being. We need to focus on creating new better habits of thought. Choose thoughts that give you power. Every thought in our body create an emotion. Emotions are indicators of the thoughts that we are thinking.
Choose happy thoughts. Know that our own capacity to talk to our body, to influence the energy that we live IN, is very important to craft our better health or to begin to set into motion a number of biochemical functions in the body that are going to create a dis-ease or the natural state of well-being in our bodies.
It is important to realize that negative emotions instruct the cells of our bodies by releasing neurotransmitters (brain chemicals), who travel throughout the body carrying a specific set of instructions. Positive or negative emotions influence the biochemistry of our body. Positive or negative emotion can affect our immune system, metabolic rate and instruct the body to retain fluids. Positive or negative emotion can influence water retention in the body and levels of pH (acidity or alkaline levels in the body.)
CHOOSE thoughts, words, mental pictures that give you joy. Choose thoughts of prosperity, of empowerment, of self-love, of well-being, of forgiveness, of letting go, of safety, of happiness, of cooperation... Make peace with yourself. Make peace with everything and everyone and choose to be a good energy from inside out.
The brain communicates with itself by sending out chemical information from one neuron, or nerve cell to another. The sending neuron and the receiving neuron are separated by a small space called a synapse. The end of the sending neuron's axon has small sacs called vesicles that store a special chemical messenger called a neurotransmitter. When this chemical is released, it can have one of two effects on the receiving neuron: it can excite it into action or it can inhibit (block or slow down) its action. A neuron receiving certain signals (set of instructions that can be programmed and in fact, we do program by neuro-associations the chemical impulses that fires off a message to other neurons causing the release its own chemical transmitter.)
We have, since the beginning of our lives, programmed the brain and the series of chemical reactions associated to thoughts that we think and their assigned meanings. Some of this neuro-associative-networks can be helpful to us or can work against us by evoking negative emotions; for example, fear that paralyses us or feelings of hopelessness that drain our energy or drive our interest and focus of attention away from our goal or intention.
The important think here is to know that we can do the same DELIBERATELY by creating new sets of positive thoughts and positive outcomes, visualize them and re-train the brain to expect good things. Or we can continue choosing negative thoughts, associated to negative outcomes and belief in a state of powerlessness. The process can be thought of as an endless chain reaction among billions of neurons and if we don't choose what we think we then let our brain chemicals to a state of creation by default.
Brain chemistry is the sum of
all the chemical messaging that takes place in the brain, which allows
it to carry out its daily functions, such as generating movement,
speaking, thinking, listening, regulating the systems of the body, and
countless others.
All cells in our body are working in cooperation with one another. No cell in the body starts a fight with another cell. :) No organ in the body stars a war against another organ in the body. :) Whew! The nature of all the cells in our body is cooperation and prosperity. We can learn a lot from this scenario, from the nature of the cells of our body. Then, what happens if we focus on negative thoughts and negative emotions, (by default or deliberately)? Then, we create that energy flow because of the thoughts that we choose to think and this can affect and influence our health at-a-cell-level.
We are the only one thinking in our head. :) Take your power back. Mantra: No one else but myself chooses the thoughts that I think.
I choose thoughts that give me power. I speak words that evoke positive emotion and empowerment. I love myself. :)
All the feelings and emotions that people experience are produced through chemical changes in the brain. The "rush" of happiness that a person feels at getting a good grade on a test, achieving a goal, or reuniting with a loved one occur through complex chemical processes. So are emotions, such as fear (housed in the kidneys), anger (housed in the liver), grief (housed in the lungs), worry (housed in the spleen), and so on.
Neurotransmitters are the "messengers" that carry instructions to the body but, we can tell the brain what to do. We can tell the brain what to think since we are the only ones choosing what thoughts to think, to what do we give power to and what to focus on. By principle we expand what we focus on.
But, what happens when stimulation of thoughts coming from the "environment" that we live in, the news, the people around us, etc, affecting our focus of attention? What happens when we begin to give more attention and power to the many happenings around us? We begin to influence our bio-chemical process in the brain "by default", meaning we begin to react to the environment around us or to what life dishes out to us.
The nerve cells and other nervous structures in the body outside of the Central Nerve System are known as the peripheral nervous system (peripheral means outside). These nerves receive information from body tissues and the outside world, "the environment, our extended body", and pass it along to the brain and spinal cord. These nerves also carry the signals from the Central Nerve System to make body parts function or to stimulate/influence our thoughts. Again, it is important that we keep in mind that we, each individual, are the ones that have the power to choose what is it that we want to give our attention to, more power to, more time to, and to turn our thoughts into believes. Beliefs are thoughts that we keep thinking.
Ask to yourself:
Are my thoughts and beliefs giving me power? Are my thoughts and beliefs draining or nurturing my life? Are my thoughts and beliefs helping me build my health and well-being?
Practice:
Every week you can set an intention to focus on a better habit.
Every week I publish in one of my twitter accounts a better habit to focus on and to master, and I recommend to all my students to invest INTENTION and ATTENTION on acquiring this new life-style habit of thought or of behavior.
BETTER HABIT OF THE WEEK (July 19 - July 25)
